How many tans do you get out of a gallon of solution?
The number of tans that you get out of a gallon of solution will vary. ***Use this answer as a guide to help you in determining costs*** Every tan and client is different. Some clients will use more and some clients will use less. Each airbrush artist tans a bit differently. Product waste & excessive over spray is important to be mindful of. The goal is to always ensure that the client is receiving an adequate amount of product, never sacrificing the quality of the experience. Take note as to how much solution you have used per client by writing down how much you started with in the cup and looking to see how much you ended up with after the tan. Subtract the 2 numbers. We find many of our locations use between 50ml to 125 ml of solution per tan (some clients more, some less). There are approx. 17 cups of solution in our gallons. Which means that on the low side, 1 Gallon will do approx. 34 tans and max 96. 1 Litre of Solution is made of 4 cups, which means that a litre will do approx. 8 tans on the low side and 20 on the high side.
