Is getting an SunnaTan before my vacation a good idea?

As an artist it’s important to understand your client’s skin type and educate them accordingly. If they’re going to enjoy sun and sand for 7 days and they don’t tan easily, you’ll want to tan them a lighter shade so when the sand naturally exfoliates their tan or it starts to fade, it doesn’t look pale white or blotchy. Applying a lighter shade will allow their tan to fade naturally. You’ll have many clients that request a tan for a quick 2-3 day getaway, for example to Las Vegas. They may ask you to “tan me skinny” or “give me a six pack” etc. This type of client will probably want a dark tan that only lasts a few days and fades in a less natural way. These tans are a bit more difficult, and you need to be aware of what their expectations are. If they’re going to be hitting the pool in a bikini and high heels and want to minimize any trouble spots, they probably won’t be happy with a lighter tan. Make sure you read your client, listen and get a feel for what they want and need.
